The most common sunscreens on the market contain chemical fillers. These products typically include a combination of two to six of these active ingredients: oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate and octinoxate. While these products can block the sun’s rays, these additives have shown in studies to disrupt hormones, cause irritation and allergic reactions, and are linked to skin cancer.
