This fennel/hibiscus base is enhanced by mild hydragogues (promotes discharge of water) cleavers, parsley, chicory and red clover. Red clover is also considered to be an alterative, a substance that 'alters' unhealthy processes, stimulates metabolism and gradually produces beneficial changes in the body.
